A road, a church, three bus stops and a pub. That is all there is to Huty, and a good thing too. Even the supermarket stocks no more than the one hundred most needed articles. But the village of Zuberec, five kilometres down the road, has all the required facilities. For the rest one is dependent on Liptovsky Mikulas, the capital, 25 kilometres away. The roads in the area are good. In winter too they are easily accessible. Public transport is well-organised.
Yet, Huty is developing. There are plans in the making for an ultra modern, large ski run, a dam, an indoor spa and a bungalow park.
